The article opens concrete and proves instead of praising. Voice notes and What was cut explain every call, and anything your material did not carry is a named gap — never a plausible-sounding invention.
Does it invent numbers the notes do not contain?
No, and the page checks rather than promises. The prompt forbids adding any number, name, date, quote or URL the material did not carry; a gap comes back as an angle-bracket placeholder and a Missing facts bullet. On top of that the browser pulls every figure and link back out of the finished article and compares them against your paste, and says so under Grounding check. A link that is not in your material is reported as an error, and a figure that is not is flagged for you to check.
What does it cost, and can the automatic retry bill me twice?
You pay for the run you ask for. The meter shows what is reserved before you press the button, and the run button stays disabled with the shortfall named if your balance will not cover it, so a payment error after submitting is not possible. Every run carries an idempotency key derived from your input plus a per-press nonce, so a dropped connection replays one job instead of billing two. If the model replies in the wrong shape the app retries once with the format spelled out - that is a second run and the app says so on screen while it happens.
Do my past articles follow me to another computer?
Yes, once you are signed in. Finished articles are saved to your SkillSafe account and mirrored on the device for instant paint. Clearing them writes a tombstone first, so a cleared article cannot come back on a reload even if the datastore is still serving its old copy. What is typed into the form but not yet run is a working draft, stays on this device only, and is not touched by Clear saved articles.
What happens if my notes are longer than the limit?
The opening and the closing of the paste are both sent and the middle is dropped, with a marker in its place so the model knows it is not seeing everything and says so under Missing facts. Notes usually put the setup at the top and the caveats, the TBDs and the open questions at the bottom, so cutting only the tail would remove exactly the part that keeps the article honest. The scan panel tells you how many characters were dropped before you run anything.
Can I fix the gaps it leaves without paying for another run?
Yes. Every placeholder the article leaves open gets an input box under Fill in the gaps. What you type replaces the placeholder in the article on screen, in the copy button and in both downloads, entirely in your browser. The value is never sent to the model, so nothing you type can be presented back to you as something the article proved.
What do I actually get to publish?
Download article .md gives you the article alone, with YAML front matter (title, description, date, draft) and a filename made from the title - drop it into a Hugo, Jekyll or Astro content folder as is. Copy as rich text pastes straight into Ghost, Substack, WordPress or LinkedIn. The editorial notes - voice notes, what was cut, what is missing - download as their own file, so they never end up inside the post.
